 Some of our services include:

Joint Mobilization and Manipulation

Joint manipulation is a common treatment used to address issues affecting the range of movement of your joints. This technique is also utilized to treat pain associated with joint stiffness. Using high-velocity movements, physiotherapists aim to increase range of motion and realign the joints in question.

Manual Traction

A gentle force is applied to the neck or back. Traction helps people who have problems with their discs in the cervical and lumbar spine. It is a gentle technique that relieves pressure on the spinal nerves. It can limit pain, muscle spasms and tension.

Soft Tissue Massage and Trigger Point Therapy

This treatment is a specific type of massage which aids in relaxing muscles, increasing blood circulation and lymph flow, improving the healing time of strained ligaments and muscular tissue, reducing the inflammation of joints, improving range of motion and joint flexibility, decreasing spasms, improving oxygen flow and helping to relieve muscle tension. A trigger point is a hyperirritable spot that is painful. It is called a trigger point because it triggers a painful response. The therapist will locate and deactivate them using finger pressure.

Deep Transverse Frictions

It is a deep massage technique that helps prevent or destroy adhesions and helps optimize the quality of the scar tissue. It also helps to evacuate pain triggering metabolites.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is used to relax muscles that are affected by pain and stiffness. With this technique, a physiotherapist can stimulate the muscles, improve circulation and increase flexibility within the muscle’s connective tissues.

Taping

Taping is used as a way to promote faster recovery from injury and as a protection against future injury. It limits the movement of certain muscles or joints to guard against strain. Some forms of taping theoretically promote blood flow in and out of the deep fascia and innervate the underlying musculature.

Electrotherapy

Over the years, electrotherapy has been increasingly used for the treatment of tissue pain and swelling. Some patients find electrotherapy a good complement to other types of physiotherapy treatments. Some examples of electrotherapy include laser therapy and ultrasound therapy.
